In the past months I got rid of the CCD camera I was using on my 250 quad and switched to using just the mobius as I thought it was an unnecessary weight.
After a lot of crashes when I was trying proximity flying I reviewed my decision to use the Mobius camera for FPV and realised there was a significant delay in my video feed that contributed greatly in my ability to react and was ending up on the ground constantly.
So I have now re-modified my 250 quad copter “racer” and I am happy with the result. The only thing remaining now is to practice more and make adjustments to my PIDs to find the sweet spot I need between smooth and snappy flights.
In the above video I am also doing a variety of flips on Acro+ mode of the CC3D. On some of them you might hear me reducing the throttle mid-flip where on 2 other flips I keep the throttle stable and let the controller do the work.
I concluded that it’s not necessary to reduce throttle but it feels very unnatural to me so it’s something I need getting used to.
